Anchorage - Matanuska Glacier - Anchorage (Round trip approximately 7-8 hours in total)

Please refer to the boarding point

After gathering at the hotel lobby in the morning, you will take a coach to Matanuska Glacier for a guided glacier hiking experience lasting approximately 2 hours. As Alaska’s largest accessible glacier by vehicle, Matanuska Glacier is classified as a valley glacier. Under its own gravity, it stretches across the valley like a river, winding northward from the Chugach Mountains to the Glenn Highway, and ranks among the most popular attractions between Anchorage and Glennallen.

Accompanied by a professional guide, you can set foot on this ten-thousand-year-old glacier to embrace the boundless pure white scenery and admire the crystal-blue ice caves formed by glacial movement. Thanks to the landform characteristics of valley glaciers, sunny weather is more frequent here in winter than in surrounding areas, making Matanuska Glacier a top choice for numerous glacier hikers. Blessed with the glacier and Sheep Mountain, this area is also renowned as one of the most spectacular and breathtaking scenic spots in Alaska.

If you need to take a departing flight on the day of the tour, please book a flight scheduled after 22:00 to avoid missing your departure.
