It is the most famous zoo in Hokkaido and also the northernmost zoo in Japan. Asahiyama Zoo is renowned for its unique animal "behavioral exhibition" concept. By setting up various exclusive play facilities for animals to roam and play freely, the zoo showcases their vitality and agility to visitors. This innovative exhibition method breaks the dull static scene where animals stay quietly in cage corners at ordinary zoos. Patchwork Road (Sightseeing by car window)
This scenic landscape is not artificially designed, but a living scroll formed by generations of local farmers cultivating the land in Biei. In 1976, this cypress tree together with the surrounding scenery was featured on the packaging of Japan's Seven Star cigarettes, hence the name Seven Stars Tree. Standing quietly in the boundless wilderness, it embodies the unique vastness and purity of Hokkaido. More than 30 years since it appeared on the cigarette packaging, this landscape still touches people's hearts deeply and has become an iconic unforgettable attraction for tourists visiting Hokkaido.
Ken & Mary Tree (Sightseeing by car window)
Standing quietly on the distant hills, Ken & Mary Tree still gently guards the passing time of Biei to this day. Glancing at it inadvertently through the car window during the drive feels like a small miracle of encountering the beauty of Biei by chance. Perhaps the true meaning of travel lies in meeting these unexpected landscapes along the journey.

With a drop of 30 meters and an altitude of 600 meters, Shirahige Waterfall is located in the Shirogane Onsen area of Biei Town. It gets its name because the water cascading down from rock crevices resembles a white beard. Water gushing from underground crashes against the rocks, creating sparkling blue waves.
※Please note that Shirahige Waterfall will be replaced by a 60-minute free visit to Farm Tomita from July 1 to September 15.

The most enchanting hue of summer in Hokkaido lies within Farm Tomita. Lavender sways gently in the breeze, filling the air with delicate floral fragrance, as if time slows down. Besides lavender, various seasonal flowers bloom across the farm. The colors of the flower fields keep changing with the seasons, like the earth being draped with brand-new landscape paintings time and again. This hidden scenic spot is only a 5-minute drive from Shirogane Onsen in Biei. Its breathtaking beauty has even been recognized by Apple and selected as official wallpaper.

Return to Sapporo and conclude the wonderful day trip pleasantly! The return time is for reference only, and the return trip may be advanced due to smooth travel conditions and favorable road traffic on the day.
