Scenic Spot Introduction

11:00am-11:40am Shiroi Koibito Park (Sightseeing by alighting, about 40 minutes)

Shiroi Koibito Park will be closed on June 4, 2026. The itinerary will be specially adjusted on that day to Asahiyama Memorial Park, where you can enjoy the broad scenery blending urban views and natural landscapes of Sapporo.

Shiroi Koibito Park

As a well-known souvenir brand widely popular across Hokkaido, Shiroi Koibito Factory is also one of the most famous tourist attractions in Sapporo. Here you can learn about the history of chocolate, view precious art collections and witness the production process of Shiroi Koibito chocolates. Apart from hands-on snack making experiences, factory tours and chocolate history learning, the charm of the park lies not only in indoor visits but also its stunning outdoor landscapes. There are rose gardens in full bloom in early summer, colorful flower beds and small shops selling Shiroi Koibito ice cream. *Note: The factory visit ticket is not included in the admission fee of Shiroi Koibito Factory.

Asahiyama Memorial Park

Perched at a relatively high altitude, Asahiyama Memorial Park offers a panoramic overlook of the entire Sapporo city, where countless city lights spread out like a silver galaxy. The serene mountain air merges with the glittering urban night scenes, making the whole city seem immersed in a soft sea of stars.

12:25pm-12:50pm Hiyoriyama Lighthouse in Otaru (Sightseeing by alighting, 25 minutes)

Visit the popular coastal landmark Hiyoriyama Lighthouse in Otaru. The red-and-white lighthouse stands tall on Takashima Cape, forming a beautiful contrast with the azure Sea of Japan. Standing on the coastal highland, you can overlook the boundless sea and rolling coastline. Caressed by gentle sea breezes, you will be greeted with vast and refreshing views, making it an ideal spot to admire the stunning coastal scenery of Otaru and take souvenir photos.

13:05pm-13:25pm Otaru Canal (Sightseeing by alighting, 20 minutes)

Completed in the 12th year of the Taisho Era, Otaru Canal is the only canal in Japan built through land reclamation instead of inland excavation, stretching for 1140 meters. As a vital port city boosting the development of Hokkaido, Otaru thrived as the northern gateway from the Meiji Period to the Taisho Period. Along the canal that symbolizes the prosperity of the port stand numerous ancient warehouses, evoking nostalgic memories of the old times.

13:40pm-15:40pm Otaru Shopping Street (Sightseeing by alighting, 120 minutes)

Walk straight along Sakaimachi Street for about 10 to 15 minutes, and you will reach the block lined with retro-style buildings dating back to the Meiji, Taisho and early Showa eras to soak up the vintage atmosphere, also known as the "Wall Street of the North". Among the representative stores here, Kitaichi Glass is a must-visit. It occupies warehouses built in the Hokkaido pioneering era and consists of the Glass Hall, Glass Outlet Hall and Crystal Hall. Inside the dimly lit warehouses, glass and crystal crafts glow brightly, creating a dreamlike atmosphere. Besides, Sakaimachi Street is dotted with various grocery stores and cafes renovated from historic buildings with distinctive features.

16:50pm-17:30pm Jozankei (Sightseeing by alighting, 40 minutes)

Step into Jozankei Onsen Resort surrounded by rolling mountains. Take a leisurely stroll in Futami Park, cross the iconic Futami Suspension Bridge and overlook the clear streams winding through the valleys. Wander along the valley trails to the sound of gurgling running water, surrounded by dense forests and mountains that present varied natural charms all year round. Immerse yourself in the unique tranquility and soothing vibe of mountain hot springs in Hokkaido.

18:20pm-20:00pm Moiwa Mountain Ropeway / Moiwa Mountain Cable Car (Sightseeing by alighting, 100 minutes)

[The Moiwa Mountain cable cars may suspend operation due to various reasons. If not all services are suspended, visitors can reach the mountainside and take the second section of the cable car. In case of full suspension, the alternative arrangement will be visiting Asahiyama Memorial Park for night views plus enjoying night scenery from the 38th floor of Sapporo Station.]
